Focus on Chile

The Pacific Alliance as a whole ranks as the 7th world economy, and more countries are expected to join in future. An integration process is underway towards free movement of goods, services, capital and people within the Alliance. There is likely to be regulatory cooperation in key markets and links with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Chile is also a safe place to do business. In the 2016 Global Peace Index, Chile was ranked 27th out of 163 countries, making it the safest in Latin America. Produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace, the Global Peace Index ranks countries on 23 qualitative and quantitative measures.

This report takes an in-depth look at the Chilean market, including its import and export sectors, and the opportunities available in multiple industries, such as mining, energy, ports, smart cities, fisheries and agriculture.
