The Global Resilience Partnership is challenging business as usual in the development world: energizing the global community to pivot from being reactive in the wake of disaster to building sustainably – using a resilience approach- in the first place.

Convened by The Rockefeller Foundation, USAID and the Sida with an initial commitment of US$150million, the Global Resilience Partnership has two main modus operandi: surfacing local innovation through a series of Challenge competitions that focus on dealing with intractable problems, bringing together teams from across sectors to test new resilience approaches, and deal-brokering through an Incubation Hub to match successful ideas with delivery partners and investors to scale and replicate.

These evidence-based investments will support millions of vulnerable people in the Sahel, the Horn of Africa and South and Southeast Asia to prepare for shocks, adapt to chronic stresses and transform positively through crisis to thrive in a more secure future.
