Geocento was established in December 2011 with the goal of "making earth imagery accessible", by solving the difficulties that users face when accessing satellite imagery from the wide and growing range of suppliers.
Its innovative web-based EarthImages application allows users to search for, access and order imagery from the majority of the global constellation of moderate to high resolution imaging satellites. It generates tailored results, allowing users to compare the imagery which best matches their budgetary, application and sampling needs.
The underlying technology behind EarthImages is highly commended, and has enabled the organisation to develop web-based imagery portals for a range of industry specialists.
Geocento is an alumnus of the ESA Business Incubation Centre and is now co-located with the Satellite Applications Catapult in the Harwell Space Cluster. It has recently established a subsidiary company in Madrid.
